Mission The purpose of Chapman Computer Science Club is to bring together students of various disciplines who are interested in computer science and give them a place to connect, collaborate, create, and learn in the field of computer science. The mission of CS Club is to provide a community where students can build skills that will help them in the study of computer science and develop the skills needed to succeed in the industry. Club meetings will consist of academic activities including but not limited to the following: 1) networking meetings, a time where students will be able to connect with their classmates 2) resume workshops, where members can receive feedback on their resumes from other members or guests with relevant work experience 3) interview workshops, where members will have the opportunity to practice their technical interview skills and receive tips for completing online assessments 4) entrepreneurship activities, where members who are interested in starting a business and need specific talent are able to network with other members that have a desired skill set 5) guest speaker events and panel discussions, where students will be allowed to ask the guest(s) about their specialty and gain insight into real-world work experience as industry professional(s).
